ARRESTS AND RESCUES

Recent news headlines reveal increasing awareness of human trafficking through the arrests of traffickers and the rescues of the exploited children.

This is encouraging to those who have wanted to see more action being taken. Some may even say that the arrests and rescues give them hope at long last.

I reflect on those thoughts: Is hope the result of seeing what we desire? Or is hope something greater than that and exists even when we don’t see what we look for?

It all depends on the source of hope. Is it in our minds? Or in events? Or in something else?

My hope is in Jesus, even when I don’t see what I’m looking for—YET!

He is the Source of all justice, mercy, love, truth, and victory over evil! Praise Him for the arrests and rescues. Pray for more.
